What a cutting station does.
Cutting is where a mattress line turns rolls and sheets of material into the sized parts every downstream station expects: panels cut to length, borders slit to width, foam layers cut to profile, and components trimmed square. It is upstream work, and it is unforgiving, because a panel cut a half inch off feeds that error into quilting, border, and tape edge, where it compounds instead of correcting.
